Is my child too young for an appointment?

Psychological Services: If your child is having difficulties, it is best to get help whatever their age. If your child is under four, the initial appointment will be with the parents (rather than the child) to discuss the various issues in detail. A strategy will then be suggested for how best to move forward with the child and parents.

Educational Services: Most learning difficulties do not present until a child is at or nearing school age. As such, the Temple Clinic rarely sees children under 4 years in this capacity, unless there are obvious problems.

What if I need to cancel or change my appointment?

  • Please contact us by phone (02 6772 9686) or email (admin@templeclinic.com.au) as soon as possible to avoid an Unkept-Appointment Fee.
  • Appointments under 2 hours require notice of at least 1 working day.
  • Appointments 2 hours or longer require notice of at least 3 working days.
  • An Unkept-Appointment Fee is charged when inadequate notification has been given to the Temple Clinic, if there are no extenuating circumstances, and may be equal to the cost of the scheduled appointment.
  • The Temple Clinic regrets the need for this fee, but must recoup the expense of “dead time” arising from unkept appointments.
  • This Fee is easily avoided by simply attending your appointment, or by giving plenty of notice when you need to cancel or postpone.
